It is unfortunate your plant got sunburned. While it looks nasty, the meristem, the central growing portion, looks great. The other unfortunate thing is this is a very slow grower and will take some time to recover... and it will recover. Having said this and your recent bout with the sun, this plant will look its best with full sun; just acclimate it slowly into a full sun situation. Depending where you live, mid-day sun may be a bit too much.

I am in Texas and I have it in part sun. I meant to move some of them out further into the sun as an experiment. Texas sun is harsh. What I like about E. agaveoides is that it is has good cold hardiness for an echeveria. I get it through 16 F with a frost cover and a few leaves under it to raise the frost cover off the leaves. Where the frost cover touched the leaves it was cold damaged but it was fine otherwise..
