| I don't much care which variety my cactus is (having just read a thread where there was much discussion around that); my problem shouldn't have anything to do with that, I don't think. Last winter - actually around Valentine's - my "Christmas" cactus bloomed like crazy. I moved right after that from Texas to Nevada, but it has been fine for about 8 months. Now for no apparent reason big sections are dropping off and I now have a plant half the size it was a month or two ago. Any idea why it would do that? I have never seen anything like it. |

| I find that over or underwatering CC/TC contribute to segment dropping. It needs to be in free draining soil if it isn't already. |
