Hello! I've had this guy for a year. I was hoping he would flower so I could ID him, but no luck this year. TIA. I really love this one.

Not positive , But I am thinking Ferocactus ingens.

Maybe Parodia (Notocactus) buiningii.

RE: ID?..some type of ferocactus?

I think it's Parodia Buiningii! It looked very much like the Ferocactus Ingens, but has those indentations on the ribs like the Parodia. Hopefully I can get it to bloom this coming year. Thank you both so much for taking the time to try to ID it.

Frankly I'm glad it probably is the parodia. The parodia only gets to be about 5" tall. The Ferocactus gets as big as a recliner! Not that I could grow it that big in a pot in Massachusetts!!

That does look like it.
