First off, it is Kalanchoe luciaie, The names got confused in the trade years back and it has been a lot of confusion straightening out the mess. One can cut it off with a sharp knife , let it calousover and then put it in fast draining dirt and mist till it has roots. I would wait till spring. But it is pretty warm where you are (not this week but usually)
