mine has a bloom too, except it is pointing towards the ground and is blocked by another piece of the plant. I didnt even see it until I did my weekly inspection when watering. but I am seeing where some new blooms might be coming in and I am having some interesting growth on the ends. The new growth is a reddish color whereas before it was usually a brighter/lighter green.
My Huernia schneideriana bloomed in August. Mine looks reddish still, too. I started with the long branch on the right.
I repotted it today and was really surprised at how root bound it was! Good, healthy, sweet smelling roots, so all is good. But I did find a couple of mealies hiding in the middle. Glad I repotted today and caught it before it went too far.
It was a hitchhiker in some sedum I had purchase a little over a year ago. Being outside all year probably impacted the bloom time for me. It got a lot of rain during the summer, and watering is really cut back in our dry winters. (Gritty mix helps my plants survive the rainy season.)
