need help with echeveria!

Hi everyone. Yesterday at Lowe's I bought an echeveria that was on clearance for a buck. It was so beautiful but so sad looking, partially out of the soil, overwatered, soft and cold to the touch. I took it home in hopes to revive it. I wasn't sure what to do with it. I read a few things about this plant and decided to take the leaves off and left only the tiny ones. Cut off part of the rootball, which was all soggy and cold and put it on top of sand to dry off. Is there a chance I can reroot this poor plant or are there other suggestions. I'm very new to succulents and generally to plants. TIA.
