Can't assess yours w/out actually seeing it. Since you just got it & apparently know nothing about it, how do you determine it needs a repot (not a good idea esp. in mid-winter like this)?

Also I'd like to see what container you're assessing as 25 fluid oz. (why quote liquid measures when discussing solids?). They really don't compare.

25 fluid oz. is a bit over 3 cups of liquid. This tells me nothing for solids, or the volume of soil, so pls. just show us the actual pot w/ a hand or a coin in the shot next to it to indicate scale.

How about reading around first & not being so quick to want to repot? You'll first need to learn about soils appropriate & fast draining enough for succulents.

An important part of growing plants is simply watching & doing nothing. I'd do nothing for a week or 2 & just let the plant adapt to its new home. Exposure to sun should be gradual (since it was inside the store), or the plant could burn.

A stab in the dark here, hoping a pic of the plant appears. Does 25 ounces equal about a 6 inch pot? It is probably a small pot with a peat based substrate that is either soggy from constant watering or dry and floats like cork. For this Kalanchoe, they like evenly moist (not wet, not soggy) well draining soil. After bloom, the plant can get ratty since they like to fall apart. For the best result, I have learned to let the flowers fade completely and then shear the plant. By this time it will be spring here, and they grow fast. Keep dry-ish in the summer, keep cool and dry in the fall and blooms appear in January. Mine never bloomed for any holiday. The are prone to slugs and white fly, and are brittle to move. For those reasons, I don't have any anymore.

So the plant blooms for a month. Is the person who owns it wanting to play with it for 11 months to get another crop of flowers? My advice is to keep it cool and a little moist and enjoy it until the flowers fade, then decide what to do- repot or recycle.
