Amazing plant...Is this ovata or arborescens?

Some members of my church congregation helped clean up the yard of a member in her 80s. She and her husband had bought the house in the early 60s and she planted some jade plants in the back yard. 50 years later she had a forest of plants 7+ feet tall with trunks 8 inches thick.

Good grief, that's not big, its enormous! It must be a very happy jade to grow to those proportions, wonder how old it is?

Its C.ovata- the old faithful Jade.

I'm going to guess that plant is about 20 years old.

Stan, so why do the leaves look so whitish? Or are those flowers? Photo is not clear enough to tell.

December and January are the prime flowering seasons for C. o. - those are thousands and thousands of flowers.

Stan, I hope you realize how envious we in the polar regions are of your climate, where such beauties can be grown.

You're doubling down, friend o' mine. They're flowers.

Yep=covered in bloom. On hardy palm and subtropical board that photo is twice the size. You get a better idea of those fat trunks too.
