ItÂs wonderful when this happens.

I collected seeds from an Echinocereus many years ago in eastern AZ at about 8800Â. (highest point in Rustler Park) Today was a spectacular day here in DE, I felt compelled to be outside with the camera. My winter hardy cactus collection would never win a beauty prize at any cactus show but these plants are high on my list of favorites, My first pic shows a plant from that above mentioned seed. I looked carefully at the soil near the base of the plant and noticed many tiny offspring. ThatÂs the second picture. (Notice the antiquated label in the first pic.)
