It's a beautiful day here too, Al! The sun is shining and my windowsill-bound plants are enjoying it very much. It's an accomplishment of yours to grow such a handsome clump from seed. They look very healthy and happy! What color flowers do they produce?

Nice plant, Al. Looks like E. triglochidiatus. Which subspecies/variety is anybody's guess!

It seems to be coccineus.

Lovely flowers Al, those claret cups are my favourite Echinocereus. triglochidiatus and coccineus look quite similar to me, coccineus has more radials, more ribs and thinner stems I think, so Jordi may be right.

Oh Al, I think I remember you posting similar pics last year! It's just lovely! I plan to get one or two of these this spring to enjoy in my collection. I love the contrasting green stigma against the brilliant red petals!
