Help with identifying this cactus

Posted by oregonplantnut 8 (My Page) on

Hi Everyone. I got this cactus at the Huntington Garden in CA and forgot what the name of it is. Can anyone help me with the name? Please cut and paste the link below to see the picture of cactus like mine. This picture was taken a few years ago and it has doubled in size and has lots of babies now. I would also be willing to trade a baby for a Barrel Cactus?
Thanks for you help.

Some form of echinopsis I would say.

Ooo, beautiful!! Sorry I don't have a barrel cactus to trade! I'd say Echinopsis as well. There are so many ~it could be a named one. You're helping to push me to finally GO to the Huntington! =)

RE: Help with identifying this cactus

Perhaps it's E. oxygona?

I believe it's the echniopsis hybrid named "Los Angeles".
