Its a Ferocactus, wouldn't like to say which species.

Thank you! That's a start. I'll try narrowing it down via Google search now.

My guess would be Ferocactus emoryi or possibly Ferocactus rectispinus. I think the flower is probably fake and glued on.

Based on the pictures I've seen, it looks to be the former (emoryi). Thanks a lot for the help!

And yeah, I had to perform some "flower surgery" to get the fake flower off. I couldn't get all the glue though, and there are still remnants of fake flower on there, but I think it'll be fine.

One website actually lists it as Ferocactus emoryi ssp. rectispinus
But do you really think that's what it is? I only question because the flesh color on yours is very dark and the spines are very red.
The spines look the same though.
