The Plants from Mars, revisited

During the last 5 years, I have found 3 monstrose flowers in my various Euphorbia x lomi. They never cease to amaze me--I think these guys also belong in the group called The Plants from Mars.

Is that regular growth in the center there, Emy? Oh, well, I see if I READ it again, I will find out! LOL

It is a Mars guy...you're calling it a "monstrose flower"? I don't think I've seen that before.

    Rosemarie,

I have only seen two plants with monstrose or crested flowers. This plant has produced one other monstrose flower and a Cleistocactus strausii mostrose which produced a crested flower last year.

Very interesting, Emy! I like this kind of weird stuff!

I have seen fasciated blooms on some of my garden plants, which I believe is caused by insects. Those are strange too!
