The third and final acquisition from the private collection of an esteemed local grower. This one has some damage to the growing areas - some of the growth has died or is missing entirely from the center of the smallish rosettes. Should it be trimmed back? Comments/suggestions are welcomed.

Dear Borrego,, That poor, poor pillansii, struggling in that undersize pot for so many years. Glad you were able to get it and grow it. I'd leave all growth alone until there is new growth to replace it. You're going to repot it into a more suitable pot, and there are a few months of growth left, so I'd wait until summer before any leaf removal is done. I'd feed it soon, too, to help it along for the rest of the growing period.

Borrego, I recently had an A. Dichotoma rot that I'm trying to reroot. Did that A. Pillansii ever rooted?
