They're tricky little devils aren't they? I was browsing without a cart and one of these jumped into my hand last Friday. I was powerless to resist.
So its not emoryi either, threse feros all look the same when young ;)histrix looks set to be a big un indeed from what googled turned up for me!
I am sure it is a histrix. The shape of the plant, the edges of the ribs, the colour of the spines (from bronze to bone colour), these are so tipical.
