This is a Bryophyllum, and it does produce leaf-edge plantlets (only at times of stress, however).

The flowers pictured here are a giveaway - they're pendulous.

fedtschenkoi produces ofsets, well, I never knew that!

I'm sorry, but I'm not calling anything bryophyllum until the Plant Name Police come to my door with guns drawn. Enough with the reclassification! :-)

And if I were to give in to pressure, what do pendulous flowers give away? I thought that the Supermarket Flower, K. blossfeldiana, was now a bryo, and its flowers ain't pendulous. Garish yes, pendulous no.

Speaking of tubular bells: Whatever it's called, here's my favorite Kally/Bryo, marnierana, in bloom last month. Grows like a damn weed - cuttings available for the asking.

Those are lovely shots. Yes, it is a weed, and that's one of the things that distinguishes Bryophyllums from Kalanchoes, for the most part. A non-botanically-judgemental feature, I grant you, but there you have it.

You'll get no grief from me on what you call it, though I could direct you to a site where a great amount of viscious and semi-viscious nomenclatural caterwauling takes place, all by one individual. However, you're probably not one to enjoy that sort of shabby coversation, I venture.

K. blossfeldaiana is just that, a Kalanchoe. I have a distinct antipathy to that plant, but it's probably my pseudo-elitist plant snob scum rising to the surface.
