| Earlier in the week the fetching Mrs. Mikey and I visited the gardens at the L.A. County Arboretum and found the Aloes doing their thing!

| I wasn't impressed by the first two pics, it wasn't until the third pic that my jaw dropped. I think the idea of scale given by the lady (Mrs Mickey?) in the pic is what did it for me. Those are huge plants and the blooms are impressive. |

That is a beautiful picture. I have seen that batch of aloes although not in bloom. The arboretum is great. They have pristine maintenance, no plant graffiti, and label all their plants. It is nice to be able to walk through a park and know what the plants are. The peacocks are nice, too. |

| It's difficult to get the fetching Mrs. Mikey to pose, especially when there are what she calls "beasts" (lizards) hiding everywhere... The flowering aloe in the middle photo is roughly 8-10' tall. |
