| I've had this for several years and sent out segments for rooting in trades, but I still don't know what it can be. No glochids. |

| very choice item in opuntiod family--I think--but you say 'no glochids'. I should know it. Possibly south american. |

| Yes, its a Tephrocactus, T. molinensis. These seem to be getting very popular recently, or maybe its just me noticing them since I got interested this year. |
