Looks like a baby Echinocereus grusonii.

E. grusonii for sure. These are very typical as seedlings.

Hi

I have a couple of these I have grown from seed. Some are very green with golden spines. But I have some others that are more pink/green in the body (they may have got a little tanned...) with white spines. They have exactly the same growth pattern, but with closer together tubercles. Is this the same species? a variation? Or are they something else entirely?

On a different point, when do the tubercles become the ribs you see in old grusonii?

Thanks

Swiss
