Does this need repotting? plus IDof this euphorbia please?

Can anyone identify this euphorbia? I was thinking E. ingens, but am not that familiar with the species. It is quite tall...about 8 feet 3 inches, including the pot. Do you think I should chop it back by about a half and will it send up side shoots? It won't fit in the house if it grows any taller? Thanks in advance.

Hi. ID sounds right. I would take two cuttings. The top one about two feet ,and two feet of the middle. Cut at the narrowest points, dab the cut ends in fine charcoal to stop the sap from flowing, heal over for ten days. I use a permanent marker and draw an arrow to top. ( they won't root up side down)

How difficult are they to root? Do they like to be fairly dry (soil) and warm during this process?
