I was amazed to find these in 6" pots at very reasonable prices at Kmart of all places. I picked up a couple. They used to be quite expensive. I had a grafted one that I picked up 20 years ago for 30 dollars. They were quite a rarity at the time.
Paul, we never have anything like this plant at the bb stores in my area, much less in a six inch pot ;)))
Jen, I had to keep going back to the plant a couple of times before I decided to commit myself to it and spend my entire xmas gift certificate ;)) I buy for pretty, then I try to find out what I bought :0
Earline, You have done quite well with yours. I have never grown this on its own roots before, just grafted. I have read other posts by other people that they had problems getting them to grow. Any cultural suggestions? I am getting ready to repot the plants into new potting mix and new pots.
If I had ever saw one of these in a bb store I would have grabbed everyone of them. I do have one though. I haven't had any trouble with it, so far. I've been treating like most all of my cactus plants. I have mine in a clay pot with very drainable soil.
