But I don't think so, maybe a Kalanchoe?
It's in a 10" wide hanging pot. Was wondering how hardy it is too? |

Dear Joyce, It's Kalanchoe pumila - a lovely plant. I would think it's not very hardy.

Thanks Jeff! I knew you'd know! :)

Really nice! I lost one last Thanksgiving, when the temps dipped to 23F. I would keep it from any frost, just to be safe.

As an FYI, and based on just general knowledge, some experience and even less other-than-local geographical knowledge, South African-and-other-than-Madagascan kalanchoes can handle lower temps better than Kalanchoes from Madagascar. I think that K. pumilla is from Madagascar. Of course, there's cold, then there's cold and the soil is wet; this second condition caused more problems than just plain ol' cold.

Thanks RJM. Thanks again Jeff. It'll probably go into my unheated garage for the winter. Or maybe the big sunroom at the office.
