How big does Echinocereus have to be to flower? Mine is about 3 inches in diameter, every spring I cross my fingers hoping for flowers. Will it be years still?
Some Echinocereus flower at less than an inch, others need to be a foot. E. subinermis should flower at two or three inches. Maybe you are keeping it too warm in winter. Or maybe not watering enough in spring. I'm not so familiar with the Mexican Echinocereus species, but those are usually the problems when the US species won't flower.
