Help with unknown plant

Hello,

I bought this plant at Walmart (yeah, I know) and of course no name to it.

It was grouped with a bunch of cacti and succulents but I don't know if it really fits in.

I thought perhaps it could be a cryptanthus species which I believe is a bromeliad,but have not turned up any photos that look like it.

Today, this little white flower appeared.

Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

It does look a lot like Cryptanthus. But I'm not sure which one. Hopefully the experts will chime in here.

Hey, I have that one too and still don't know what it is. I just presumed it was a bromeliad but never looked up to find out more.

Hi,
So far I also posted on What Plant is This and two responses there also believe it to be a cryptanthus of some kind.
Jade Garden, has yours bloomed? I have two others with much darker leaves that have never produced flowers.

Mine has bloomed several times, and also another one with purplish leaves. You can kind of see them both in this photo (not blooming now).
