This is the first sign of active growth Ive seen on this O. erinace var ursina.

    Larry,
    Is that only one pad or a whole plant? How old is it? I started some from seed a couple of years ago, did great until this past very warm, very dry winter, lost all but one. That one is in the ground and putting up a lot of new pads. I'm hoping for flowers in a year or two. My O. compressa is absolutely covered with buds right now. Good luck with this.
