I have a cactus garden and several of my plants are just drying up, keelin gover and dyeing. I don't understand it. What could I be doing wrong? I never thought of all of my garden beds I would have worry about a cactus garden. The attached picture is what many of them look like. Please help.

Not enough water? Put in strong sun without acclimatization?

This thread is seven months old. It's not a cactus, and it appears to be very dessicated, and it possibly rotting at the base. Or, it's straining for sun and was uprooted because of the weight of the head, and angle of the trunk. Hard to say what's wrong with it based on just this photo, hence the lack of responses.

Why dredge this up?

Sorry. I have a bad habit of not looking at dates and I don't have much of a filter either...usually whatever's in my head pops out of either mouth or fingertips.

This looks like our native yucca. I've had them for years & they always lay over. Everywhere the trunk touches the ground, it roots & makes more plants. They form thickets that way.
