Why are my cacti dying?

I have a cactus garden and several of my plants are just drying up, keelin gover and dyeing. I don't understand it. What could I be doing wrong? I never thought of all of my garden beds I would have worry about a cactus garden. The attached picture is what many of them look like. Please help.

How often are they being watered? Though succulents can handle alot dryer conditions than most other plants, even they can reach their breaking point. And if I'm not mistaken, there are some succulents that require marginally more water than others as well as varying dormancy periods. Are they in full sun all day long?
