Could you help me ID this cactus? It's growth rate is astonishingly fast...I took some cutting from my mom's garden last fall and split it up into two pots, and this crew from one pot already outgrew its pot.

I threw it into a huge pot with new soil as the gritty mix was impressively disintegrated. I was just curious what type of cactus this was so I could read up about it. So far, I know it doesn't really care if it gets sun or shade, drinks water like nobody's business and is outgrowing everything else, despite having months and months of neglect until the last six weeks or so.
