Very handsome, possibly Huernia (don't know which), if not that, then Stapelia.

A good place to examine pix for a match for Stapeliads/ Huernias/Carallumas: search for

Stapeliads: Orchids of the Succulent World; or

'Gerry Barad'

I am fairly confident that the genus is Huenria but I not sure of the species. I have looked through several websites without much success but I was happy to find the International Asclepiad Society site, Gerry Barad's site is wonderful as well.

Happy to oblige Mike, they are some of the coolest/oddest looking plants, these Asclepiads.

Members also include Hoyas, to which I'm partial (30+ & counting) & Ceropegias which have blooms that resemble aliens from another planet.

I have a small collection of mostly Asclepias, Stapelia, Huenria, and a few that still need to be identified. Some of the Hoya species are truly fantastic plants but I only have room for my little Hoya bilobata.

Well just to egg you on further Mike, there are some smallish Hoyas (relatively speaking) that grow in clumps rather than sprawling all over w/ vines, like Lacunosa, Nummularioidies (formerly Pubera), Retusa, etc. ;>)
