the flower was bigger than the cactus, the stalk almost twice as tall as the cactus.

I have one that looks VERY like this but in red. It always surprises me when it blooms because the cacti is quite small and you have this looonnngggg stem with quite large flower.

wow!!! that is awesome!!! Anyone have any tips on how to get a cactus to flower????? I have lots of them, but none will bloom??!!

I love that about echinopsis types. Flowers bigger than source!
Who knew such non-descript globes can produce such spectacular blooms.
