sometime ago I asked about the red fruit on my mammillaria.
Thanks to the advice to slit the fruit and check for seeds, I am excited to let you know that Yes! it has 9 minitiny seeds. It was like doing brain surgery on a mosquito but...I have them on a paper towel to dry.
Now, I was told....saw at the right time...he..he, what is the right time? It seems to me that here zone 9 Fl. it is always the right time ;-) how long should I let them dry?
and just seed it, as any other cactus seed
how was this mammillaria get pollinated if this is the only one I have? do flowers on the same cactus pollinate themselves? or maybe it was from a couple other mammilarias I have different variety.....
thanks so much for any advice
