Hi all, the hot climate of this autumn permits to this plant to bloom longer. I think it could be D. cooperi even if the flower should be purple!

| Not Delosperma cooperi, which has purple flowers. There are several yellow Delosperma in cultivation, with various names that are not necessarily correct botanically. Is it even a Delosperma? Delosperma leaves generally show the "speckly" (can't remember the proper name) surface that gives them their name and also don't usually have sharp angles on the sides. I'll do some digging. It would be helpful if you could get a good closeup of a leaf or two. |

| That might be a Lampranthus, possibly L. aurantiacus. |

| Holly, these plants can take some freezing conditions, but only to about 20F. They also don't like to be too wet. They make good trough plants where they are very heat and drought tolerant in summer but can be given protection in winter. The Delospermas such as D. cooperi are hardier and some can be grown outside in Pennsylvania in well-drained soil. There are also some very similar annual Mesembryanthemum Ice Plants which have very showy flowers in a range of colours. |
