Mystery Mammillaria needs ID - Please

I don't know if bloom time would be a clue to ID. No flowers all summer. About the beginning of October I noticed the first buds starting to form.

I've been taking many pictures since the middle of the month - flowers were not fully opened until today. The flower color in this pic is a good representation.

Try as I might I cannot get the spine color right. It is just a touch more white than seen here.

The pot is 5" diameter. (125 mm)

I'll be grateful for your input.

Could be M. pringlei (rhodantha ssp pringlei) which is quite a variable species.

If it is rhodantha ssp pringlei, 'variable' would be the operable term. I never gave that species/variety a thought because other plants I have with that name tag are quite different. My other plants with that name have been blooming on and off all summer. (Again-variable) Thanks, and if you have any other ideas, please, please, please. I'm looking through my pics for a better shot of the spines. But, again, variable???

Hugo, which characteristics prompt you to choose ssp. subducta rather than ssp. laui? I do wish I knew more about the finer points of Mammillaria ID. I thank you in advance if you will consider my question.

I'm with Hugo, I reckon it's lauii ssp. subducta also, ...I believe lauii ssp. lauii has white spines, and the centrals are hardly distinguishable from the radials, whereas ssp. subducta has prominent centrals and spination is yellow-ish, ithink also the ssp. lauii more readily offsets, similar to ssp dasyacantha.
I had one of those once and managed to kill it, and am looking forward to getting another someday.
