| "Give me a Stapelia with hair, long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen" I got this one as a noid; it's most likely a hybrid with hirsuta in it (x gigantea? Something else-- who knows?) For a plant that is only medium-small sized, it has put out a lot of flowers this year!

| "Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer... Here baby, there, momma, ev'rywhere, daddy, daddy, hair, ..." Are we dated now or what? :D Jen, ~Rosemarie |
|
| You're probably right on that-- I hesitate to tag these thigs because they can be so darned variable. Heeheee-- the only folks who have us dated from that, are as old as we are ;) |

Deefar, Here’s a hand-held shot for size, stark morning sun. BTW Ooojen, I’ve heard that many of the OTC Stapeliads are hybrids of unknown origin. That would be a good question for the people in the Stapeliad groups, they would know. I just stick with the name that came with the plant or, like most of mine, I tag them Stapelia 01, 02 etc. ![]() |

| All of those are beautiful flowers! I have one bud on mine, but I hesitate to take its picture, lest it fall off and shrivel up. I haven't had good luck with it flowering the last few years. By the way...I am still hearing the song in my head!! he he he. Kate |
