This species tends to just carry on blooming for ages. I have a couple, a normal growing one like this one and one that sort of went crested although it still has normal pups around it and puts on a real show of flowers. It has a series or growing points along it's crest, not just one elongated one.

You're not wrong Steve, you can always rely on a good show with zeilmanniana, these beautiful Mamms just about flower themselves silly.
Toni-Marie your plant sounds intriguing, It'd be nice to see a pic sometimes.
