Well, I'm gun shy after IDing two incorrectly last night, but I would say that yours is a golden Cereus peruvianus monstrose... I may be wrong again, so wait until further confirmation!!! :-)

Bill, It seems that you are right.
Cindy, keep it in a small pot and you can conserve the form that it has already. Put it in a bigger pot or in the soil and you are going to see that they realy grows, but it looses its "compact" form.

Wow!! What a plant Alfonso!! I ain't plantin' nuthin' 'round my house that looks like that!! :-) That is incredible!! Here are two of my Cereoids:

Hey Gang thankx for the info as always. Gosh I love these forums.

Alfonso, thankx so much for the info. I always transplant anything I bring home from this greenhouse because they are always so root bound and usually too wet. This plant was no exception and I was actually thinking about moving it to a bigger pot in the spring as it seems to have quite deep roots. Now I might have to think about that!

Rosemarie please tag anytime...that was a great pic. I wish I lived in CA. My mother lives there and I am going for a visit on the 18th. Plan to visit a few gardens while I am there...she is in the desert. It would be so nice to be able to have plants outside year round...so much healthier too.

Cindy, as you can see from the piccies, this is a big plant that will appreciate a large pot and grow to fit it. Like Alfonso said, if you want to keep it in your house, treat it like a bonsai and cramp its style :)
