Very nice. I have some seedlings of these, not the same species. I am unsure about how much I should allow them to stack their leaves. It looks like many pairs of leaves are healthy?
I just got one of these today in the mail, how ironic! It's nice to see those flowers. That's one of the joys of growing Mesembs, they flower when everything else is dormant. How old would you guess yours to be?
When I potted mine up tonight, I snipped off all the dried up flowers. It came from Lithops.net in AZ, so I imagine it's done flowering this year. It's going to spend the winter on a south facing windowsill.
I got 10 new Mesembs today and will post photos tomorrow. No point in trying to photograph them without the sun shining on them!
Very nice Al, I have three Schwantesias... acutipetala, triebneri, and ruedebuschii. My rather old triebneri is looking quite sick... :( I've just noticed in the last couple of weeks! The other two are looking OK though!. Your plant is very nice and obviously happy! thanks for sharing.
