| Can someone please ID this plant for me. I received it as a present, and it came with a plant care label that identified it as a cactus, which I knew was wrong. If I can get an ID, then I'll know how to properly care for it.

| Agave americana (century plant) is a possibility., But so is A. scabra and several other species. Agaves are often very difficult to identify when young. Care: water when dry. Use very quick draining soil. Give it as much sun as possible. Practice benign neglect: leave it alone and it will thrive. |
