I think the Mars Rover passed one of these a few months back. So this was a biosphere left over? No wonder the project was disaster. You can't eat this thing, right? Next time a few more potato plants are in order.

Yes you could...I trimmed it back today to the original crest. You see....I found it as a grafted cactus at a Walmart a few years ago. The graft stock was dying and the top had roots on it! So it came home with me! It grew slow until last year.It started producing longer branches.I have 10 cuttings and half the plant.I have more! Any takers?

I want a piece, doesn't have to be big. I have some Gasterias and an unknown barrel cactus. I bought one off ebay and the guy sent me a shoe box full, literally. I can send a pic of them if interested.
