Another new purchase. ID?

Last week I passed this handsome plant in a home depot. It said it wanted me to buy it and take it home. It was quite firm on this. I couldn't argue. It did not look like the regular offerings and I bought it. I think it is on my "to get" list anyway.

It is about 3.5" wide at the thickest part of the stem.

Areoles are about 3/4 to 1 inch apart.

Some of the longer spines are 1.5 to 2 inches long.

Nice blue green color. New growth is greener.

What is he?

Probably Trichocereus peruvianus

Although it may very well be T. Peruvians, I was thinking it might be another in the family.
Maybe T. Macrogonus .
It is probably impossible to tell the difference between them though isn't it?
At least until it flowers. Or is it???
