Hanazono means a flower garden.

When hanazono kabuto has reached to a mature age, prenty of areoles would appear over the top. All areoles are able to get flower, and blooming like a flower garden.

Last year I grafted a pup of a hanazono kabuto. Although the mother plant has not shown, the pup has alredy shown the hanazono pattern.

The photo is the grafted pup, 6 cm daiameter. There are many areoles and buds.
