That's a really nice picture; you're lucky to have it. You can see that she's a little bulky around the chest, but I don't think she looks fat.

So, how did she get injured with a pitch fork?

I think so too and Mom has another that is my Grandpa's Mom that I'm going to get also. Grandma was playing in a hay loft and fell, someone had left the pitch fork out and she fell on it. She was very lucky it didn't kill her, especially with medicine at that time. The bandage is about a foot wide at her natural waist. It's why they believed she stopped growing then also. I think she was 4'10", I know we always measured ourselves growing up against her. We were really pleased to finally be taller:) I passed her up about the 7th or 8th grade.

She wasn't fat, she was very petite, but she saw herself that way and heartily disliked this pic. It had to have been framed at some time, there was some paper attached to the sides.
