Spring Has Sprung In Redding!

At least for right now. I made a shopping trip yesterday and was so surprised, every street had trees in bloom! Some white, some pink and some really red! My daffodils are all blooming now and so pretty. Tried taking pictures, but my hands are shakingt so badly at the moment I can't focus, guess I'll try it on the tripod! And all the mountains surrounding us are clear and still have snow, everything is lovely. Hope the weather holds steady for a few days cause Monday is when everyone comes to clean up the yard and get rid of the weeds(hopefully!)So how has your week been?

I'm loving the spring blooms down here, too, Pat! I really need to get up to Redding soon to see what going on in Mom's yard now!

We had a lot more wind on Sat. and Sun., so I had to water most of my potted plants. Seeds I've planted (dill, CA poppy, Salvia subrotunda, parsley, etc.) are sprouting and growing like crazy.

The only thing I'm hoping for is more rain before the dry season arrives. The National Weather Service is talking about some chances for rain this weekend, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

In this area we have The Blossom Trail every spring, which is a self-guided tour amongst all the commercial orchards that are in full bloom right now.

In our yard the Apricot and pluot are in full bloom, as are all the Manzanitas. It's Spring!
