Westelle, as far as I know, there's no secret code (unless it's still a secret to me!). I know that many invitations are available with pretty charms, usually one or 2 (meaning one couple or both bride and groom), and they are usually tied with a pretty ribbon and attached right to the invitation.

Maybe they became detached in transit?
