.... with too much fruit.

Nephew, PHD from Berkeley and a stint at Livermore Labs, is moving back East -- to PA, to teach at Villanova U. We were invited to his going-away BBQ in SF, which was yesterday. I took a big market basket of white peaches, pluots and tomatoes to the BBQ where they all disappeared like I'd put out little balls of gold. One of the guys offered DGD a little candy bar, but she said she's rather have another peach. How's that for good training?!

I need to go out and wrap the Indian Blood Peaches in bird netting -- if I want any for canning. The Nectarines should be getting ripe any day now. I discovered this afternoon that the critters hadn't touched those still-not-ripe white peaches so I guess I'll still get to try making some White Peach Ice cream or Sorbet.

In a week or so I'll need to figure out what to do with all the nectarines.... and no more BBQs to go to.
