They are beautiful, Tamara! What a thrill it must be to see them bloom after all these years. Do you know what they are? The one at the top looks like the climber Joseph's Coat.

Sounds like your hubby acquired a gardener after you moved in. :-) Same here. Hubby had been here 25 years when I moved in after we were married. I had a dream one night that I was the resident gardener and that's all I did (those first few years). Well, other than go to work every day, gardening is pretty much all I did. I learned a tremendous amount during that time. One of the things I tackled was the roses. They weren't bad, really. They bloomed and I continued feeding them with whatever he had -- Miracle Grow and a systemic fertilizer. Then I discovered organic fertilizers and mulch so I ditched the systemic and MG and did organics alone. Now we have birds everywhere and they like to sit in the roses, and a lot fewer aphids. I think Roses are high-maintence but they are also very rewarding.

Thanks Jen, No I don't know any of the names of these roses. A long pass girlfriend planted them and didn't leave a tag. But, your right the one does look like Joseph's Coat. I also relocated two more from the front bed to this bed. They where getting powder mildew and spider mites pretty bad in the front bed. Now they are doing better and I can't wait to see what color roses I get.
