I recently moved into a house in Fair Oaks that met just about every objection on the "plants that make you wince" thread.

The original landscaping from many years ago includes old pines, privet, juniper. Apparently there were some mature citrus trees until the previous owners, who lived here for only 2 years, removed them. In place of the citrus, along a FENCE, they planted redwoods - 4 of them. The redwoods are about 8-10 feet tall, about 3 inches in diameter. I have no idea how easy these would be to dig up and transplant, but if anyone is interested, please let me know and you are welcome to them. Need to get them out of the yard before they get any bigger.

I also have several tropical plants interspersed in the backyard. Including canna and other tropical stuff that I am not sure what it is - banana leaf type plant and palm type stuff. Again, you dig and remove, yours to take.
