what kind of bat

I posted this on Wildlife too.I'm in inland Northern California. They return each spring and are currently nesting on my front stoop. Love the idea, but they make a mess, and when they stay during the day as they have for the last day or so, people are afraid to come through the door. Anybody know what kind, and how to coax them away from the door?

I'm not sure which kind it is, Nanelle, but here's a link to maybe help you identify it. You can also contact them to find out what, if anything, you can do to make life more comfortable for both of you. :)

They sure are cuties!

That is the coolest thing, I wish I had some. They eat the bugs at night, just tell people they are a natural bug zapper.
