Cassia Leptophylla Leaves All Turned Black

I had four 24" boxed Cassia Leptophylla trees planted on my sloped back yard. They were healthy and even flowered. But now 8 months later the leaves are turning black. It got down to 33 degrees this week. Could it have been the cold? I recently gave it Best Super Iron Plant Food 9-9-9 and there have been lots of rain coming down this month.

Any help is appreciated.

a hard frost would typically 'burn' the emerging shoots as they haven't hardened off,

did you see any other damage appear at the same time in your garden? The Leptophylla

is typically semi-deciduous as is originates from a more temperate climate. It should recover

as long as it holds the portions of the foliage that are hardened off.
