Last frost date - how to find out?

I am waiting for the "last frost date" to do a lot of things in my garden as a lot of the plants I have in pots come with instructions on waiting until the last frost date to do anything with them and my covered patio is getting very crowded now with newly purchased plants in nursery pots.
But, a quick google search on my city name and frost date comes up with different dates. So, who officially determines when the last day of frost is? TIA for your help. |

It can vary year to year so I would go with the latest.
Check with your county extension office they might have a better date from historical data. |

I have 2 dwarf bananas, 2 types of jasmines and 4 citruses in nursery pots. |

| Plant the jasmines and citrus in February. I'd wait for it to REALLY warm up before you get the bananas in the ground. It's not so much frost that will do them in; it's more cold wet soil. Joe |
