Satureja mimuloides

I bought a 1-gallon pot of Satureja mimuloides at a local native plant sale. The label says "full sun, regular water".

However, I always do my own research so I checked two reliable native plant resources, Las Pilitas nursery and Theodore Payne.

Las Pilitas says to give this plant a "wet spot in full sun".

Theodore Payne says "moist shade" and "part sun to shade".

OK, so it seems to like a wet spot. But the sites give contradictory sun/shade requirements.

Can anyone share personal experience with this plant?

Thanks!

This is what has worked for us:
Theodore Payne says "moist shade" and "part sun to shade".

Lynne: How much shade has worked for yours?

gobluedjm: I agree, since it seems that some sort of shade is recommended in some areas. Annie's Annuals says it thrives in "dry shade" in one person's garden!
