Looking for Lady Apple Tree

Anyone know where to buy a Lady Apple tree in southern CA? I am in the SFV. BTW, it is Lady apple, not Pink Lady. Thx.

Greenmantle has Lady Apple as a benchgraft. Perhaps they have it larger. I have had good success with their benchgrafts. You can chose your rootstock. I plant them directly. They are about two inches tall but are about 3 to 4 ft tall after the first year. Apples in two or three years.

So does Maple Valley, and they also sell scions if you want to graft your own.

Thank you both for this info! I will be following the websites you listed, and also googling to find out what "benchgraft" means, LOL!

A benchgraft is a twig grafted to a rootstock which hasn't taken hold yet...a grafted tree straight from the workbench. It is a good way to get the tree you want on the rootstock you want.

Thanks zeuspaul, I also read up on it at the Greenmantle site. Good to learn something each day!

I've had Lady (also known as Api or Christmas Apple) for four years now, and it hasn't been very good. I'd recommend Sierra Beauty instead.

Thanks Applenut. Just googled Sierra Beauty, but I want the small size of apple that Lady apple provides. I already have an Anna, Granny Smith and Gala.
